"I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not."- Kurt Cobain..
Please Note: If you have a current RP running with me and let it drop (meaning fail to answer for days on end or at all), I will likely never RP with you again as it's an annoyance to me as well as makes me feel as though my writing isn't good enough even when I know I'm putting my all into my replies. Also please send me a mail before doing an attack or steal (if I'm logged in clearly), gives me a chance to stop what I'm doing so you can do one or the other. Thanks. Ellenor Serona Fayre's Biography |
The story of Ellenor Serona Fayre
July 14, 1983 a baby girl was born to Lilly and Joseph Fayre a wealthy family in Long Island, New York. Though the Fayre’s knew their little girl Ellenor was special, they had no idea just how true their beliefs were until their only child reached the age of thirteen. For most people there is some moment in their life that defines who they are for the rest of their days, for Ellenor it was the first time she discovered her abilities at thirteen. And though her talents came at a rather young age they did catch the eye of someone in Madrid when she went there to visit seven years after discovering her abilities. By the time she was at the fancy hotel she had learned to master her abilities to the point of near perfection though she had yet to find a way around the exhaustion each ability gave her after excessive use. It was an accident that brought the witch and the man together, a simple bumping into one another in the hallway outside their rooms, followed by a subtle and brief eye contact. She had never believed in anything that could be considered love at first sight and knew that technically it wasn‘t love, but there was a sort of spark that she had felt when her bare shoulder had touched his arm. Everything had moved for a moment in slow motion as she turned her eyes to look at him through a curtain of golden hair. For a moment her blue eyes locked onto his darker orbs, and there was a strange unspoken connection she could feel through one of the strange abilities she had yet to learn how to control. Though she had gotten the feeling the man was going to be important in her life somehow, she was soon to find out that it wasn’t anything like what she had expected it to be. Allowing fate to work what it would she had gone back to her room quietly without introduction to the man she had run into. It was only a matter of hours before they ran into one another again this time at a villa of one of the friends she had made while in the city happened to own. Ellenor didn’t take long to realize that the man she had simply bumped into was someone she found herself becoming fast friends with as the night wore on. And though they had spent the night at one another’s side talking and learning everything about one another that there was to know, she didn’t feel comfortable with letting him know what she really was. Most of her life she had learned the hard way that being too open about her abilities often chased people off rather than drew them in, and though she knew in her heart he was different, something didn’t feel right about letting him know at that moment. In the end it would take her three months to grow to trust Marco enough to show him what her secret was, and that didn’t entirely go to plan.. Marco- after seeing Elle’s ability to manipulate electrical energy- went to the boss of the local crime syndicate he belonged to and began to recount the stories of what it was she was able to do. He was immediately ordered to bring her in to add to the numbers of special people the group forced to do their work for them. Knowing he was set to meet Elle at her hotel room she was still using, he gave the room number to three men designated to bring her in. The men were the ‘elite’ of the syndicate, specialized in various tactics meant to bring in those of Elle’s race, they would be prepared for her and anything she had to throw at them. They had undoubtedly caught the witch by surprise when they attacked, sedating her to the point even the simplest of her abilities wouldn’t work on her command. As darkness filled her vision she was able to see Marco standing in the doorway as the three men carried her out- her hands and feet bound- only moments before she slipped into unconsciousness. Over the course of the next six years that Elle was forced to do the dirty work of the crime lords who came into power, she was never fully able to forgive Marco for his betrayal. As it was, the head of the syndicate made him brand her as their property with four indicating lines under her left eye in the shape of the group’s emblem. Elle knew that the act wasn’t easy for Marco to perform as he gripped her face and pressed the brand into her flesh, she felt every ounce of emotion that ran through him and though she was angry at him for using her this way, she also pitied him as he was stuck there just as much as she was. It was in that moment she made a vow to help him get out of the life he was in now if the chance ever presented itself, even though she knew she would likely never be able to leave herself she knew there had to be some hope for them to get out of all of this alive. The years of constantly bullying people and using her powers to the point of collapse wore on Elle, causing her to lose sight of reality more often than not. Though Marco stayed by her side it wasn’t until he offered to help carry the burden of her abilities in a way she wasn’t even sure would work. She had theorized it of course in many of their conversations, but wasn’t even sure if it was something that could be done, an emotional bond between herself and another human being. She had thought for a long time that if she were to share an emotional burden with another person it would help her to better understand the limits of her powers as well as to feel less of an impact on her psyche because of them. It had taken them weeks to forge the bond between them and in the end her theory was right even if the emotional ware on them during the process had been near overwhelming. She could feel every emotion of Marco’s from a distance, and he in turn could feel her own, though there were ways to block feelings when necessary it was a huge asset to the witch when she needed to manipulate certain abilities beyond her normal control limit. In her time of ‘imprisonment’ in Madrid, Elle’s parents had begun a desperate search for their daughter after contact with her was lost. And though officials had declared her dead after two years, her parents never gave up hope that they would see their daughter alive again. Over the years her parents continued to search for her they exhausted hundreds of thousands of dollars into private investigators and so called psychics who only leeched money from them only to come up empty handed time and again. It wasn’t until they traveled to Madrid themselves did they learn the severity of their daughter’s situation when they made friends with Alessandro Nikolai the leader of the Kayomara. The group of vampires heavily opposed what the syndicate had been doing for years, and had picked now to perform the strike to bring the entire group down. The Kayomara weren’t working blindly, having had members of their own group planted within the syndicate. When the strike came they were ready, as was their main focus of rescue, the witch whose parents had been looking for her for years and were grateful to know she was alive and by all intents and purposes well. When the break out happened, Elle was unable to help those who were taking on the syndicate until the chains that held her were broken by Alessandro himself. As her eyes fell upon the carnage that had taken place she was ordered to either leave Marco behind or he would die. Though she knew he had a troubled life and would likely go back into the same business he had been in since she knew him, she couldn’t be responsible for his death. In the end she chose to leave him and severe the bond they shared, the pain she felt from the break of the bond was so overwhelming that she snapped and attack a couple of the vampires from the Kayomara. Though her control of electricity didn’t harm the vampire it was the only way she had to cope with the sudden surge of emotions she felt from within the room. After working with many to learn how to control her emotions as well as being able to deal with the emotions of those around her, Elle has come far in her new found freedom away from a bond with another person. While she has no doubts that there will not be a time when she will need to rely on such a bond again she is willing to make due with what she has learned thus far. Having learned a few things about taking care of herself as well as a few tricks of the witching trade, she's feeling very confident about her future and where things just might happen to take her.
