Skylar Knox's Biography |
LYCAN
Don't think of it as some sort of schizophrenic duality, but rather a plural unity. A culmination of spirit and body. We have an understanding of the flesh. We have allowed it to be part of us rather than separating mind and body. Our flesh then becomes a reflection of our thoughts, our minds, our souls, instead of just a shell that occupies space. Despite what the average idiot may think, some of us are not the baby stealing, flesh eating monsters we are made out to be..
But I am.
Powerful. Arrogant. Bloodthirsty.
Words that describe this alluring huntress so very well. Wandering the world with only herself to care for. The hunt is all that matters.. satisfying the hunger.. the rage. The lust to dominate and destroy. What more could one ask for than to bring a shivering human to it's knees.. begging for mercy.. only to give it to them in the one way she will allow.
Death.
But oh, the delicacies of flesh.. Vampires.. Witches.. and every now and then a Lycan who barked up the wrong tree. She would savor every moment of those encounters.. relishing the chance to overpower and rip apart every ****y male attempt to dominate her and make her theirs.. their blood always left a wonderful taste on her tongue. But then... Neir Noctison sauntered his way into her life.
He would show her the meaning of power.
He would show her the meaning of pain.
He would finally be the one to take her for his own.

Jane found herself at Skylar's place for the second time in a couple of months. She didn't have much to say, and she didn't feel like sticking around and waiting for the girl to show up, so she simply stuck a note in the wolf's mailbox, hoping she'd get to it sooner rather than later.
Skylar,
You were right.
I shouldn't have tried to suppress the beast within.
I'll have you know, that I've given in to it.. and
things are much easier now that I don't have to
fight it anymore. It feels so good to be able to be
free... but then again, you already knew that.
Maybe I'll catch you around sometime. Maybe not.

Neir ceases his reading at the sound of a knocking at the door to his quarters. He snaps the grimoire closed, and sets the book down in a deep red circle, which was adorned with an assortment of symbols. He stands up from his chair and treads over to the door with a subtle look of anger upon his features, despite the overwhelming feeling of energy and liveliness that flowed forth from what seemed to be the Earth itself. It was a time of fruition, the days of ripening. His favorite time of the year. He pushes the door open lightly and looks for a sign of who had knocked, when a variety of scents assault his senses. He practically begins to salivate.
He lurches down and lifts up the small clay artifact, which had a faux-shell of fruit. He plucks the small note from the savory fruits and reads over the words, his features suddenly softening incredibly. The blue bear was probably a bit too much, but Neir couldn't say he didn't appreciate it. He lets the paper flutter back down into the menagerie of fruit, and then plops a strawberry into his maw. He steps out into the hall and looks around further, joyously devouring morsel after morsel of the produce. He swallows heavily and perks an eyebrow as he filtered scents to find his mate... He turns right, and slowly begins to tread down the stone-pathway.
"Skylar?" He says aloud, running through his head different ways to possibly return the gesture she had shown him. It wasn't like he could just take her out to a steak dinner or anything, especially knowing that neither of them would enjoy that in the slightest. He reaches down and attains a star-shaped sliver of pineapple, and promptly devours it. What, possibly... could one give to a werewolf? |

"It can be used to contact other phones, regardless of who owns them. Hell, I've owned one at one point." He reaches over and picks the device up with the tips of two of his claws, turning it around slowly. Though he found it difficult to take his attention off of her, at the moment, she seemed so... Silly. Cute even.
"At some point, I believe I'll have to get ahold of another, just to make communication easier." He pushes the device open and shows her the small LCD screen, his smile as sturdy as ever. "People can also... write letters via the cellphone. They call them Text Messages. For some reason, they use horrid grammar and spelling. I may be an animal, but I don't butcher the English language that badly." He mutters the last part beneath his breath, trying to hold back a bit of laughter.
"I would give you a demonstration, but I'd hate for someone to track us back to our den... Because I'd hate for the place to be tainted with the presence of the Human Police." He plops the hunk of plastic and metal back down onto the table and pops his knuckles. "Of course, it's always nice to know that humans carry them around. Think of them as alarms... it's amazing how many of them forget to turn them off when they're trying to hide." |

Neir reaches down and picks up the phone, looking at the bright screen emblazoned with the word 'Mom'. He tilts his head lightly and looks at Skylar, setting the phone down onto a table as it ceases its incessant buzzing. He perks an eyebrow and tries to resist a laugh, seeing how she reacted to a phone. He shakes his head lightly and gestures toward the device.
"It's called a Cellphone. Humans use them to communicate over long distances... Most of them carry one. They're... more than common." He found it very hard to comprehend that she didn't know what a cell phone was. But it seemed relatively reasonable, seeming as she had been born into her lycanthropy. She had probably never seen anything quite so... advanced.
Wait... she knows how to drive. How could she not have known what a phone was?
"Are you telling me you've never used one of them?" He leans forward, inspecting her eyes for any signs of trickery. It just seemed so very absurd that she wouldn't have had any experience with them, when she had been exposed to other forms of modern technology. |

Being of just a topic of gossip, Skylar Knox had reached the angel's ears on several occassions. Figuring she now had a reason to approach the newcomer, she would take advantage of it. It wasn't particularly for spying reasons.. more of curiosity.
"Congratulations, Skylar. Profile of the day is something to remember." She spoke softly and with what seemed as caution, fairly sharp canines peeking through the boundaries of her lips. "Hopefully it will be an occassion that you can treasure for the small time it lasts." This was spoken out of experience; it was shown apparent by her confident, yet still calm, tone of voice.
Julliet licked her lips in order to give them a vague shine, being quite appealing to the naked eye. "Congrats again.. I hope I didn't bother you." The cynical expression that laid across her features just barely gave away the fact that she didn't exactly care much about it. It was an endearing gesture. Hopefully, Skylar would accept it. |

The tapping of his sharp razors resounds about the environment, a smile laden with jagged canines accents his sadistic facial expression. He upon the she-wolf, running a single clawed finger across the stone of a nearby wall, sparks flickering, and screeching resounding. He would lick his blood whetted lips before speaking to her, his eyes slowly gaining a faint orange luminescence. His voice would escape, cold, and malicious.
"Congrats on your accomplishment, Skylar... you above all deserve such a trophy, though it is only visible for a day. Much like a flower that blooms at midnight and wilts moments after..." He cups his hands together, the black claws receding into his fingertips as his body slowly began to seem more human, making it obvious he had just recently eaten something... or someone.
"Regardless of my metaphors and similes, Congrats." |

Stepping out from an alley, Julliet attempted not to come off as a dark being, but as a friendly one. Offering the woman a small smile, shr began to speak. "I do hope your time in the realm has been treating you fabulously so far." A soft nod of her head proceeded once the statement had been finished. "I've been looking out for new eligible recruits to join my family, the Tetragrammaton. I can just imagine you joining us in a campfire circle, out in the back, roasting marshmellows and telling our life stories."
The sanctuary had yet to do such a thing, but perhaps they would consider it in celebration of receiving new recruits. "Please consider it. We would treat you like our own flesh and blood. I promise." Julliet let her card rest inbetween her index and middle fingers, extended out toward the new realm member.
